NEW VOTER IDENTIFICATION CARD

Beginning December 15, 2011, the Election Office will begin transitioning from its current pink laminated voter registration card to its new voter registration card

Please note that a voter may still use his or her existing voter registration card up until that card’s expiration date.

The new digitized voter registration card will be available at no charge.  However, due to the increased cost associated with the production of the new card, the Election Office will not replace a voter’s digitized card for at least two (2) election cycles from the date that it is issued.  Voter’s who have lost or damaged their digitized identification card, may still use other identification at the polls, like a U.S. passport.  If a voter does not hold a U.S. passport, a government issued picture ID and birth certificate may also be used.

*Approved by Chief Election Officer*
